Add all of the dry ingredients. Fold in the walnuts and apples. Bake until the toothpick comes out clean approx 30-35 minutes. Tops will be lightly browned. Cool completely.
Ingredients Frosting
- 8oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel (note on making your own below)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth and top the cooled cake. NOTE: making an easy caramel. Add sweetened condensed milk to a stock pot and cook over med/low heat until light golden brown. Let cool some. Enjoy!
