INGREDIENTS
- 300g polish pork belly
- 150g one polish sausage
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 courgette
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 peppers
- 400 ml tomato sauce
- pinch of salt, pepper, marjoram and paprika
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 egg
- 1 fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS
-
Begin by cutting the pork belly and sausage into small cubes.
-
Place a large pot over medium heat and add the meat. Allow the meat to cook for a few minutes to extract all the fat, stirring occasionally.
-
While the meat is cooking, finely chop the garlic and onion, and add them to the pot. Cook for a few minutes until the onions are nicely browned.
-
Next, continue by cutting the remaining vegetables (peppers, courgette, tomatoes) into small cubes.
-
Gradually start adding the vegetables to the pot, starting with the peppers, followed by the courgette and tomatoes.
-
Once all of the vegetables are added, pour in the tomato sauce and season with salt, pepper, marjoram, and sweet paprika.
-
Add a few bay leaves to enhance the flavor of the dish.
-
Allow the dish to simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.
-
When ready to serve, plate the Leczo and accompany it with a fried egg and garnish with some fresh parsley. Enjoy this hearty and savory Hungarian stew!

We are Slawek Kalkraut and Krzysztof Szymanski, two Polish friends living in Ireland. Over our ten years of friendship, we’ve bonded over a mutual love of braving the elements to create mouthwatering meals. MenWithThePot started as an Instagram page where we shared our outdoor creations with friends and family but quickly snowballed into a passion project that people all over the world began to connect with. Our Tik Tok account took our little project to a whole new level and after designing and selling our very own knife, we decided to go all-in and commit to MenWithThePot full time.
