INGREDIENTS

  • 1 onion
  • 1 whole garlic
  • 3 red chillies
  • 1 mango
  • 1 pineapple
  • 800g Pork ribs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • 300ml Vodka
  • 150ml Honey
  • Chives
  • Sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Slice the onion into thin slices, cut the unpeeled garlic in half, and slice the red chillies into thin rings. Dice the mango and pineapple into small cubes.

  2. Season the pork ribs well with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Set a pan on medium heat, pour in a tablespoon of oil and gently place the ribs in the pan. Fry for 5-6 minutes until they are golden-brown, then flip and fry the other side for the same amount of time. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, add the onions, garlic (flat side down), a handful of pineapple and mango cubes. Fry for about 7 minutes.

  5. Pour in 300 ml of vodka (be cautious of flames). Once the liquid has reduced, return the ribs to the pan.

  6. Pour 150ml of honey all over the ribs. Cover with another pan, reduce the heat, drop the remaining fruit on top and bake for 45 minutes. Ensure the temperature is consistent.

  7. Garnish the ready ribs with sesame seeds and chopped chives before serving. Enjoy your delectable Vodka Ribs!

Notes

Be careful when adding vodka to the pan as it may ignite.
