INGREDIENTS

  • Beef ribs (one rib per serving)
  • Chick-fil-a sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Black gold truffle rub
  • Garlic (3 cloves per serving)
  • Sourdough bread
  • French fries
  • Caramelized onions (¼ cup per serving)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Trim off the fat from your beef ribs. The easiest way to do this is using the Cooking Guild fillet knife.

  2. Once you remove the fat, use Chick-fil-a sauce as a binder by rubbing it all over your ribs and seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and black gold truffle rub.

  3. Place a meat thermometer in the ribs (we recommend the Meater+) and smoke them at 275º F for 6 hours. Make sure to spritz the ribs every hour.

  4. Then, wrap the ribs at 165º F. Once the internal temperature reaches 203º F let the ribs rest for 30 minutes.

  5. In the meantime, roast some garlic and prepare french fries to assemble the sandwich.

  6. Once the ribs are done resting, spread the roasted garlic over toasted bread, add french fries and Chick-fil-a sauce, caramelized onions, and most importantly: your beef rib.

  7. Pull the bone from the rib and enjoy!

Cooking Guild

The Cooking Guild was created out of a passion for the art of knife-making and a love of cooking. Our blacksmiths have 20 years of experience in hand-forging bespoke kitchen knives.

We truly believe that a high quality knife changes the cooking experience. After using a dull knife for many years, I couldn’t believe the difference when I finally switched. Chopping, slicing and preparing ingredients is so much more satisfying with a screamingly sharp, well-balanced and high quality knife.
