Carne Asada Tacos

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Liquid Aminos
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ rub
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • (1 1/2 lbs Skirt steak
  • Diced jalapenos
  • Onions, diced
  • Cilantro, chopped
  • Cotija cheese, crumbled or grated
  • Hot sauce (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Marinate the skirt steak for 6 hours with the liquid aminos, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, BBQ rub, garlic and cilantro. Make sure to coat all sides of the steak.

  2. Grill the skirt steak over direct coals flipping every two to three minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F.

  3. Slice the skirt steak against the grain in thin slices.

  4. Assemble tacos with beef, diced jalapeños, onions, cilantro and cotija cheese and serve hot with your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

The carne asada can also be cooked in a skillet or on a griddle if a grill is not available.
