INGREDIENTS

  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • Green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper chili flakes
  • 8 cups beef broth
  • Leftover short rib, shredded
  • Ramen noodles
  • Soft boiled egg
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Sriracha (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large pot/dutch oven, cook the sliced onion in oil until fragrant.

  2. Add garlic paste, ginger paste, soy sauce and chili flakes and stir to combine.

  3. Pour in the beef broth and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Add the shredded short rib pieces and let simmer until tender (about 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.

  5. Add ramen noodles to the broth, stirring gently until cooked to desired doneness (about 4 minutes).

  6. Soft boil an egg or two and set aside.

  7. Divide ramen noodles into bowls and top with some of the cooked short rib pieces, soft boiled eggs, toasted sesame seeds and green onions for garnish. Sprinkle some sriracha on top if desired! Enjoy!
