INGREDIENTS

  • Sirloin steak
  • 1 onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 1 ciabatta
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil
  • 25g butter
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Fresh parsley

DIRECTIONS

  1. Thinly slice the onion and mushrooms, and finely chop a handful of fresh parsley leaves.

  2. Season the sirloin steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper on both sides.

  3. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened. Next, add the mushrooms, salt, and parsley, stirring well, and cook for 4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  4. Increase the heat to high, add another tablespoon of olive oil, and sear the steak for 3 minutes on one side. Flip the steak, cook for an additional minute, then add butter, rosemary, thyme, and garlic cloves. Baste the steak with the melted butter mixture for 2 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan.

  5. Cut the ciabatta lengthwise and toast it in the same pan with a bit of butter until lightly browned.

  6. Slice the cooked steak into thin strips. Assemble the sandwich by placing the onion-mushroom mixture on the toasted ciabatta, followed by the steak strips. Top with the other half of the ciabatta and enjoy!

MenWithThePot started as an Instagram page where we shared our outdoor creations with friends and family but quickly snowballed into a passion project that people all over the world began to connect with. Our Tik Tok account took our little project to a whole new level and after designing and selling our very own knife, we decided to go all-in and commit to MenWithThePot full time.
